reTune

Retune is a remote control app for iTunes, specifically designed for Android devices. With Retune, you can conveniently control your iTunes library from anywhere in your home.

This app fully supports iTunes 11, including the Up Next feature, allowing you to easily manage your playlist.

Retune is compatible with various DACP servers, including iTunes v10 or later, MonkeyTunes for MediaMonkey v1.7.1.1 or later, AlbumPlayer TouchRemote, and TouchRemote DACP Server for Foobar2000.

Some of the key features of Retune include:

• Toggle playing/pause, seek in a song, skip forward and backward, set shuffle/repeat, and toggle iTunes visualizer.
• View and manage all iTunes songs, artists, albums, genres, and composers.
• Access and play movies, rentals, TV shows, podcasts, iTunes U courses, and audiobooks from your iTunes library.
• Browse and control playlists and genius mixes.
• Play music from any category such as songs, artists, albums, genres, composers, playlists, genius mixes, and radio stations.
• Create a genius playlist from the currently playing song.
• Search for music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and iTunes U courses.
• Select the desired iTunes speakers and adjust the volume.
• Stream music to an Apple TV.
• Add songs, albums, artists, genres, composers, and playlists to the Up Next list in iTunes 11.
• Supports MonkeyTunes Play Queue feature.
• View album artwork.
• Select from light or dark theme options.
• Easily rate songs through Retune.
• Control iTunes volume using your device's physical volume buttons within the app.
• Automatically pause the currently playing song when a call is received and resume playback after the call ends.
• Quickly navigate through the app using the side bar.
• Access shared libraries.
• Choose between list and grid view layouts.
• Lock the screen while using Retune.
• View the currently playing artist and album from the Now Playing screen.
• Integrate with MusicBoss for Pebble smartwatch (requires Music Boss 1.6.1+).
• Support iTunes Radio (requires iTunes 11.1 or later).

Retune requires a Wi-Fi connection for your Android device to connect to iTunes. It also requires a computer running iTunes v10.0, MonkeyTunes for MediaMonkey, AlbumPlayer TouchRemote, or TouchRemote for Foobar2000 on the same network as your Android device. Please note that Retune has only been tested with these specific DACP servers listed as supported.
